Independent media agency Enigma has appointed Laura Popa business partner.

Popa will work alongside national CEO John Gutteridge.

Gutteridge said: “This past year has been an exciting chapter in Enigma’s history. We’ve expanded our footprint and made strategic investments in talent and specialist capabilities with a focus on our data, tech and performance offerings.

"Laura brings a broad experience of skills and the perfect cultural fit to the business. She’s beautifully qualified to engage the full suite of capabilities we offer our clients”

Most recently with The General Store as co-client services director and prior to that as group account director at Thinkerbell, Popa’s specialty lies in strategic thinking and leading an integrated team to think and act creatively to solve client problems.

Her role at The General Store also encompassed head of people and culture responsibilities covering all recruitment, contracts, yearly performance reviews, as well as future talent pool development and team structures for growth.

Throughout her career, Popa has successfully led multi-disciplinary agency teams working across several iconic brands including NRMA Insurance, Furphy, Aussie Home Loans, Freedom Furniture, Accor Hotels, Destination NSW and Westpac.

Popa said she was thrilled about her new role with the independent agency: “It’s an exciting time to come aboard.”

“Enigma is an agency on the move with a burgeoning client roster, a full-service offering and a team that has a real appetite for solving real business problems and delivering customer-first creative solutions.

"I’m thrilled to join such a talented team and look forward to building on their great work."

Popa commences her new role at Enigma early-January 2023.
