Enigma appoints Reprise's Gipi Gopinath head of performance media

Independent media agency Enigma has appointed Gipi Gopinath to head of performance media.

Gopinath’s key responsibility will be to lead Enigma’s performance media team as the agency continues to realise its ambition to invest heavily in data and tech capabilities.

Justin Ladmore, head of media Enigma said: “Gipi is a driven and strategic performance marketer, obsessed with delivering business outcomes for his clients through his incredible understanding of both organic and paid digital media and the strategies required to deliver high performance campaigns.

“And what’s more he is a top bloke with the most amazing and diverse background, and we are all looking forward to working with him.”

Gopinath started his working life as an Aircraft Engineer working for Emirates, before transferring his creativity and analytical and problem-solving skills to website development. He then trained himself to be a master of SEO, data and analytics and over the last 15 years has held senior SEO and SEM roles both globally and nationally.

Most recently he was SEO experience director at Reprise, Sydney and prior to that was director of search at Croud, Sydney. He has also held senior SEO roles at APD in Sydney and iCrossing and TUG in the UK.

His years of strategic skills and experience has encompassed SEO, SEM, social, and programmatic, and managing teams to deliver digital strategy and implementation for top-tier clients including eBay, LG, Fantastic Furniture, Tourism Australia and Coca Cola.
