Survey 8 radio ratings results for 2024 from GfK, the official provider of radio ratings for Commercial Radio Australia (CRA), have been released.
In Sydney, KIIS1065 rose back to double digits, inching ever so slightly upwards to 10.0 from 9.9, while 2GB climbed two points to 11.8 from 9.8. WSFM dropped to 9.6 from 10.7 in Survey 7. Smoothfm 95.3 was the winner for Survey 8, finishing with a 12.3 share, up from 10.3. On the breakfast slot, the Kyle & Jackie O Show's share saw a slight gain to 13.5 from 13.1, while 2GB's Ben Fordham saw a big increase to 15.1 from 12.3. WSFM's Jonesy & Amanda dropped to 10.5 from 11.3, while Smoothfm95.3's More Music Breakfast Show cracked double digits, finishing with a 10.0 share, up from 8.3 in Survey 7.
In Melbourne, 3AW's share continued its fall to 13.6 from 14.0, while GOLD 104.3's share was steady once again at 10.2 from 10.0. Smoothfm 91.5 saw growth to match its Sydney counterpart, netting an 11.4 share compared to 10.9 in Survey 7, while fellow NOVA Entertainment network station NOVA 100 climbed to 10.0 from 9.0. The 3AW Breakfast with Ross Stevenson and Russel Howcroft dropped to 19.3 from 20.0, while 101.9 FOX FM's Fifi, Fev & Nick fell out of the double digits to 9.4 from 10.2. NOVA 100's Jase & Lauren saw a slight gains, with a 11.5 share in Survey 8 compared to a 11.0 share in Survey 7.
NOVA Entertainment CEO Peter Charlton said he is incredibly proud of the teams across the country.
