Australian-born research software platform Dovetail has appointed Tom Mansfield head of marketing for its global business.
Mansfield was most recently the global head of marketing at Zoomo, another prominent Australian startup with significant overseas presence. Prior to that Mansfield was a marketing director at Visa Inc, based out of San Francisco.
Mansfield will cover Dovetail’s brand marketing, product marketing, growth marketing and community functions, connecting the company to its long list of prominent customers including Atlassian, Canva and Nike. He will also oversee Dovetail’s popular digital content platform for product and design people, Outlier.
Mansfield said: “Dovetail is one of those special, once-in-a-decade software businesses that can completely shift the way that companies create value in the world.

Dovetail made headlines in January 2022 with a $63 million USD series A raise, led by prominent San Francisco venture firm Accel. Since then it has further built out teams in Sydney and San Francisco to service the growing demand for their product globally.
Dovetail head of go-to-market Brian Swift said: “It’s going to be an incredibly exciting year for us as we continue to grow the business globally and we are thrilled to have Tom join us to lead the marketing team to new heights”.
