Disney Plus is increasing its subscription price to $13.99 from $11.99 a month from 7pm AEDT tomorrow.
The annual subscription goes to $139.99 from $119.99.
It's the fourth entertainment streaming service in six months to raise its prices, and the second increase in price for Disney Plus.
Data from comparison website Finder has shown that the average streamer spends around 15.4 hours streaming per week, with a survey revealing that one in three (31%) Australians have made changes to their streaming plan due to the recent increase in prices across providers.
More than one in 10 (14%) have dropped one or more providers, 8% have lowered to a different tier, 5% have started sharing their subscription with someone else and 4% have begun freeloading off someone else’s account.
Mark Neilson, streaming expert at Finder, said: “Even though the price of Disney Plus is going up, there's a way you don't have to pay it just yet.
“You can save 14% or $20 if you take out an annual subscription before the price of the service increases. Of course, that means you'll have to pay $119.99 upfront now instead of a lower amount monthly. But if you can afford to do that, you'll save at the end of the day.
“We’ve compared 20 streaming services to help consumers narrow down their search and determined the best streaming services in Australia based on the quality of programming and their cost. This means the results are based purely on numbers.
“Comparing what each service offers and how much it costs will save you a fortune in the long run.”
