Independent digital marketing and PR agency Compass Studio has appointed Diana Carniato as the organisation's first-ever General Manager.

Carniato was most recently the associate director of communications, engagement and leadership for South Pole, the global climate solutions and decarbonisation company.

Prior to this she was the project director for Republic of Everyone, and has also held roles with SKUvantage, Blueprint Studios, and the Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee.

In her new role, she will report directly to the agency co-founders and co-directors, Natalie and Luke Dean-Weymark.

Carniato said it’s incredibly exciting to join Compass and work with an organisation that has set such a high standard in the work they do and who they work with.

“I’ve long been an admirer of their work, so it’s really exciting to join Compass and work with the whole team on some really exciting projects in the impact space," she said.

Natalie Dean-Weymark said she is thrilled to welcome Carniato to Compass.

"Diana not only has the experience and passion in the impact-led space, she also brings a very clear vision for Compass’ future growth, which is extremely exciting to Luke and I," she said.

Luke Dean-Weymark said bringing Carniato on board as GM marks a pivotal moment in the company's six and a half year journey.

"Her arrival signifies a profound evolution that Compass has seen throughout 2023," he said.

"Fueled by our remarkable growth, the stars have aligned, propelling us into an exciting new chapter. We’re anticipating nothing short of continued extraordinary achievements to follow on from here!"
