M&C Saatchi and Leo Burnett Sydney are front runners in the Design Lions, with work nominated in two categories in the Design shortlist.
The WWF Just campaign, by Leo Burnett is up in the Promotion Item Design category and in the Structural Design Category.
M&C Saatchi's work for Monika's Doggie Rescue, Doggie Homes, is shortlisted in the Poster category and the Print and Poster category.
Other Australian work making the list include McCann Melbourne's Infrequent Flyer Club for TigerAir in the Writing from Brands/Tone of Voice section, and Interbrand for its 'Optimal. Sub-Optimal' work for IR in Rebrand or Brand Refresh.
GPY&R Brisbane are also nominated in Calendars for its Survival Calendar work for Suncorp while RE: Sydney is shortlisted in Self-Promotion for its RE Issue 01 campaign.
This year a total of 1394 entries were received in the Design category.
No Australian campaigns feature in this year's newest Cannes category, Glass Lions, which aims to reward work which shatters sexual stereotyping, confronting prejudice and inequality through progressive representation of gender. 166 entires were received in total in the glass category from 43 different countries.
However campaigns that made the list include work such as Procter & Gamble – Always #LikeAGirl by Leo Burnett Toronto, Chicago and London, along with Sport England's This Girl Can campaign by FCB Inferno London and director by Kim Gehrig of Sydney's Revolver.
