DenstuAegis Queensland managing director Christ Ernst has announced the appointment of Toby Shaw as director of data and analytics for iProspect Queensland.
Ernst says Shaw is an "exceptional" talent in the field of data and analytics.
“His experience in establishing enterprise level data and analytics frameworks will be a huge asset to our partners moving forward. And most importantly he’s a wonderful person, we’re thrilled to have him on board," Ernst says.
Shaw began his career as a data scientist in London before moving to Australia five years ago.
Prior to joining Dentsu, Shaw spent three and a half years leading the analytics team nationally for Reprise Australia, IPG Mediabrand’s digital agency.
In his time at Reprise, Shaw led the development and implementation of the data and analytics frameworks for clients including Bunnings, Target, and Myer.
“I’m delighted to be joining iProspect and the wider Dentsu team, and am excited to bring our market-leading data and analytics offering into the Queensland market," Shaw says.
"The industry is currently going through a period unlike anything we have experienced before, which means there is a need for data to show us exactly how the world is changing. I will be helping our clients use marketing science to understand how their customers are evolving, and what opportunities for growth and efficiency that provides.”
This latest appointment follows the announcement in June of Cameron Law joining as strategy director at Carat Queensland.
“The appointments of Cameron and Toby highlights the focus on our investment in key talent in the market and will strengthen our ability to support clients strategically, from measurement, data and analytics, through to strategy and comms,” Ernst says.
The appointments coincide with a recent run of new partnerships for Dentsu Queensland, having signed Real Estate Institute of Queensland and fitness apparel brand Lorna Jane.
