Dentsu has appointed Brett Elliott, government head at rival media agency UM, to the newly created role of chief operating officer - media.
His focus will be on “operational efficiencies and client success” across agency brands Carat, iProspect and dentsuX.
He is a former investment head and lead at MediaCom and more recently was a managing director at UM, leading the federal government media account.
Elliott, based in Melbourne, will lead dentsu’s media agency business with a focus on “operational excellence, bringing the best technology and humans to light and supporting client excellence” across the three brands.

The appointment comes after a strong year across the board for dentsu’s media agency brands.
Carat’s wins include Harvest Road Group and Summit Homes Group in WA, Funlab in Victoria, EnergyFlex in SA and extended its relationship with Barbeques Galore in NSW.
Sister agency iProspect picked up eBAY and MYOB.
