Dentsu International's Patrick Darcy becomes CEO of Capability.Co

Capability.Co, the human potential platform helping enterprises to unleash the full potential of their people, has named Patrick Darcy to the position of CEO.

Formerly Dentsu International's chief product officer and chief data and technology officer, Darcy joins with a remit to raise investment capital and forge key strategic partnerships to accelerate the growth of the business in Australia and overseas.

Darcy will also be charged with adding to, and further diversifying, Capability.Co’s existing roster of blue-chip clients including Telstra, ANZ Bank, the Victorian State Government, and Stockland.

Appointed by Capability.Co-founders Mark Britt and Kate Britt, Darcy joins from Australian Payments Plus, where, as chief growth officer for their digital innovation business, Cowry, he led the design, marketing and growth teams across their digital wallet (Beem), digital identity (Connect ID) and QR payments businesses.

Prior to that, Darcy’s tenure at Dentsu International included leading the digital, data, and product teams across the group, building and launching new products and solutions for clients and growing overall digital product revenues.

Darcy said every day, tens of millions of people around the world drift through life without realising their full potential because of a failure of governments, education systems, and enterprises to see the whole person in front of them and understand the value of the innate qualities that make us human, alongside pure technical or academic skills.

"Capability.Co is on a mission to change that," he said.

“As a cash flow positive startup, already trusted by some of the biggest names in telecoms, banking, and government, we are already well-positioned to implement the kind of societal impact we believe we can deliver — and needs to happen — as labour markets in Australia and overseas are redefined.

“As CEO, that means creating the kind of culture at Capability.Co that we want to foster in every organisation that we work with, coupled with a shared belief in the ability of talented and motivated teams and individuals to succeed through periods of transformative change.”

Mark Britt said when Capability.Co was founded four years ago, it had a clear vision to make a meaningful impact on millions of lives during a period of significant societal change.

"Patrick's unwavering commitment to core values and purposeful transformation uniquely qualifies him to steer the organisation towards greater scale and impact," he said.

Capability.Co is built out of the Human Capability Standards (HSC) reference framework, based on over 30 years of international scientific and applied research by professor Marcus Bowles and the Institute for Working Futures (IWF).
