South Australia's lead government agency Defence SA is reviewing its agency panel, AdNews can reveal.

The review comes after the contract for Defence SA's current panel of two - ad agency WDM Advertising and creative agency Toolbox Design - expires in November following a five year contract.

Defence SA is seeking to appoint up to three agencies for the next five years with no guaranteed minimum spend.

Richard Price, chief executive defence SA, confirmed the news to AdNews.

"Up to three suppliers will share the account based on their areas of expertise and strengths providing Defence SA with greater choice and scope of services through access to multiple suppliers," Price said.

"This will be the second time that Defence SA is seeking to appoint multiple preferred suppliers.

"Media billings do not form part of this contract and are managed separately by the Department of Premier and Cabinet’s master media agreement with another panel of media agencies."
