DDB and BMF dominate ACES finalists

Da da da dum! Val Morgan has pulled back the curtain, unveiling the 10 cinema ads in the shortlist for the crown at the ACES Awards next week. DDB and BMF dominate the finalists with brands including Aldi, Westpac and energy drink V in the running.

Fnalists from BMF, Clemenger BBDO, DDBO Melburne, Disciple, MJW Advertisng, Saatchi & Saatchi, and The Brand Agency, will find out who takes the top spot on Thursday 2 October at Entertainment Quarter in Sydney.

Val Morgan Cinema Network, managing director Daniel Hill said: “We have received another great response for the ACES, with commercials entered across the spectrum, from large creative agencies through to smaller boutique companies.”

This round's jury is includes industry heavyweights returning ACES chairman Rob Belgiovane from BWM, Paul Nagy from Clemenger Sydney, Toby Talbot from DDB Sydney, Georgie Charlish from Adstream and AdNews editor in chief Paul McIntyre.

Along with the trophy the winner receives a $25,000 cinema media schedule, a Gold Class screening and those all important points towards the AdNews Agency of the Year Rankings. Rewarding Australian-produced creative, the ACES are open to any creative that has run on TV or cinema in the past six months.
