Plans by Australian adman David Droga to build a beachfront house at Sydney’s Tamarama have reportedly hit a block.

The Advertising Hall of Fame inductee and CEO of Accenture Song, based in New York, bought a 1100 sqm block, occupying the entire headland black between Mackenzies Bay and Tamarama Beach, reportedly for $45 million.

He has since demolished the house and is working with architects to turn the eastern suburbs block into a unique house to match the location.

However, he has reportedly hit a stumbling block with Waverley Council.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported the project has ended up in the Land and Environment Court to determine whether the new building can go ahead in its current form.

The brief given to Luigi Rosselli Architects: Design a family home worthy of such a special and breathtaking location. Something beautiful, and organic, that exists in harmony with its natural surroundings and its occupants. A generational home that gives more than it takes.
