Dating site eHarmony is having a little fun with Bond ahead of the release of Spectre this week. It has identified that the Natalya Simonova character from Golden Eye was in fact Bond's perfect match by running all the Bond girls through its algorithm.
The results said her calmness in dealing with tricky situations and her willingness to let Bond take the lead were seen as the necessary qualities to cope with the secret agent’s hectic lifestyle, while her warmth and capacity to care complement 007’s stoic nature.
Interestingly, Tracy de Vicenzo, the only Bond girl to marry the British agent (played by Australian George Lazenby) in On Her Majesty's Secret Service, turned out to be his worst match. Played by Diana Rigg, Tracy's "anxiety and unstable past” would make it difficult to sustain a relationship, the matchmaking site wrote. “With Bond always around temptation and danger, being with him would have left Tracy more shaken than stirred."
eHarmony worked with James Bond expert Brian Pendreigh to build psychological profiles of 15 Bond girls and a composite profile for 007. eHarmony then scored each profile on the 29 dimensions of compatibility it uses to match its members.
