Executive creative directors Tom Martin and Julian Schreiber have returned to Australia to take up founding partner and ECD positions at the newly launched Cummins&Partners Sydney.
Cummins&Partners opened its Sydney office earlier this year, after winning the Vodafone creative account in a competitive pitch.
Martin and Schreiber join the agency from Johannes Leonardo in New York, wehre they were ECDs working on global wins such as TripAdvisor, Sony PlayStation and the entire Adidas Originals businesses.
The pair previously worked at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne on campaigns including 'Remote Control Tourist' and the NAB 'Break Up' campaign, leaving in November 2013 for New York.
Cummins&Partners global CEO Sean Cummins said the appointment was part of a “global search”.
“We approached Julian and Tom because we knew they had the same ambitious, entrepreneurial spirit that will help drive Cummins&Partners to become the world's most admired independent creative/media agency network,” Cummins said.
“They are relentless in their pursuit of business-changing creative work, and have a creative CV second to none in Australia.”
Martin said the duo are thrilled to start working with a banner client like Vodafone.
“It's a very hard thing to say goodbye to New York, but you can't say no when the very opportunity you've been waiting for presents itself,” he said.
“We want to bring our vision of what an agency can be to life. To create work that isn't just creative, but genuinely solves business problems – in whatever form that may take.”
