Columbus, a Merkle company, Dentsu Aegis Network's data-driven marketing agency, national managing director Mitchell McBeath has become the latest executive to exit the holding group.
A spokesperson for DAN confirmed McBeath's departure but stated that he was not part of the latest round of redundancies within the business, that saw long-serving leaders including Nick Swifte and Indy Khabra exit.
McBeath himself had been with Columbus for more than five years, joining the business in 2013 as general manager for Victoria and Western Australia.
He was appointed national MD in May last year, after heading up operations nationally, while also taking on the GM role in NSW and Queensland.
Prior to joining DAN, McBeath had held senior director and manager roles with Reprise and MediaCom.
McBeath's exit comes at a time of restructuring, not just within the wider DAN business but also directly within the performance and data sector of the business.
Last year, DAN launched its newest tech and data offering Merkle into the Australian market through Columbus, leading to the agency being rebranded.
Then Columbus CEO Rebecca Tos has since been promoted to lead the overall Merkle business, which includes both Columbus and Amicus Digital.
At the time of her promotion, DAN stated that it had intentions of growing Merkle within Australia, as Tos was charged with "bringing together the capabilities" within Merkle’s local business units, Columbus and Amicus Digital.
DAN continues to restructure under the leadership of CEO Henry Tajer. Swifte and Kharab join the growing list of DAN executives to depart the holding group, including Carat national MD Simon James-Williams, Amplifi's Alex Pekish, Luke Manley and Adrian Roeling, iProspect national managing director Nick Seckold and Andrew Hewett.
