Clemenger BBDO Sydney has appointed Mat Maroni from Mediacom as its new planning director.
Maroni joins from a role as head of strategy at Mediacom Sydney. He has more than a decade of experience in media and communications, including eight years in strategic planning and specialist digital roles at Mediacom in London and Sydney.
Clemenger Sydney executive planning director Al Crawford said Maroni is a "massive asset" from the agency and its clients.
"I’ve worked with Mat for a number of years now on shared clients, so I know how amazing he is," Crawford said.
"He’s exactly what I’m looking for in a planner: brilliant at coming up with big, enduring brand ideas, but also savvy about how those ideas can come to life in the real world."
Maroni will be planning director for Virgin Australia and Campbell Arnott's in his new role.
