Clemenger BBDO wins Kmart

By Makayla Muscat | 26 March 2025

Wesfarmers department store chain Kmart has appointed Clemenger BBDO its new creative agency, AdNews can reveal.

This win marks the first for the newly merged agency, which absorbed CHEP Network and activation agency Traffik this month.

Clemenger BBDO, led by CEO Lee Leggett, will work across brand and key retail campaigns for the Australian retailer.

The pitch began in November before the departure of CEO Dani Bassil, CCO Adrián Flores and CGO Anita Zanesco.

The incumbent, Dentsu Creative, which has held the account on and off for about 14 years, chose not to re-pitch.

Dentsu Creative won the account in 2022 from DDB which secured the account in 2020. Prior, the account was held by BWM Dentsu for 10 years.

Clemenger BBDO and Dentsu Creative declined to comment.
