Another group of senior staff at dentsu in Australia, this time strategy executives at Carat, has hit the departure lounge.
Among them is Scott McCaffery, national head of growth at Dentsu Media, according to insiders.
McCaffery, a long-time dentsu figure, is heading to Publicis, the insiders said.
Danni Wright, chief strategy officer at Carat, and Paul Baker, group strategy and planning director, are also leaving.
Wright is going to publisher Mamamia as head of strategy.
Baker is heading to another holding group.
Dentsu ANZ last week revealed a long foreshadowed restructure with dentsu Media CEO Danny Bass and Merkle chief executive Steve Yurisich leaving.
The latest round of cuts sees another 50 roles go from the local organisation, according to industry insiders. Adding to the slow redundancies since late last year, up to 100 jobs have disappeared.
Japan-based dentsu has been urgently restructuring, reporting global organic growth in the December quarter at -6.6% and the full year -4.9%.
"It has been quite the year of evolution for us here at dentsu, and Carat is of course a part of that," Fiona Johnston, chief client officer at dentsu, told AdNews.
"Danni, PB and Scott are some of our favourite people and have all been a huge part of Carat, and dentsu, some up to 14 years!
"Of course we are sad to see them go but they leave a great legacy of strategic smarts and business nous. We know they are all moving on to good places and I'm sure they will do well.
"We are focused on our future as an agency, and we already have plans in place. But right now, it is about celebrating the work and efforts of Danni, PB and Scott."
Dentsu in February said it was going to rebuild its core business in Australia, following more negative growth numbers.
Costs are a focus, with a review of the overall structure to "reduce costs and improve the efficiency" of business operations.
