Out-of-home advertising agency Captive Vision Outdoor (CVO) has closed a deal with Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) for signs at its metropolitan network stations (EDS: corrects earlier report supplied to AdNews of "heavy competition" for the business).
The contract gives CVO exclusive access to spaces in 184 Metro network stations, including fence and wall mounted, decal and freestanding, on station platforms, concourses and station precinct signs.
MTM operates 226 six-carriage trains across 998 kilometres of track, transporting 450,000 customers each day. CVO will install more than 800 bespoke assets across the city.
“The Metro network signs are a keystone in our national rail portfolio enabling CVO to offer our clients the opportunity to engage with hundreds of thousands of people on their daily commute,” says CVO Head of Commercial Peter Franklin.
“Our clients will have access to key spaces across Melbourne and the ability to get their businesses in front of rail users in some of the best locations in the market,” he says.
The outdoor advertising company recently appointed former oOh!media senior sales specialist Sal Daoud to oversee expansion.
“We are always trying to think of new ways to integrate outdoor advertising and provide opportunities for business owners to advertise within their local community,” says Franklin.
