Helloworld has removed the CMO role from its business, off the back of an internal review. The moves sees its current CMO Kim Portrate depart the business.
Helloworld's managing director and CEO Andrew Burnes confirmed the review saying: “As part of the review into our operations and structures, I have made the decision to have the marketing team report directly into the retail division and as a result, the role of chief marketing officer has been removed.”
“Unfortunately this impacts Kim Portrate and as such Kim finished up with Helloworld on Friday.”
Burnes noted that Portrate has been a major contributor to the brand transformation and a valued part of the businesses executive team.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Kim for the hard work and commitment she has shown in working for Helloworld. The marketing team will now report directly into Julie Primmer.”
The announcement saw two other departures revealed with general counsel and company secretary Stephanie Belton exiting, as well as Andrea Slark, the general manager corporate development.
The CFO is also departing the business. “Finally, Jenny Macdonald, our CFO, will be leaving the company at the end of April,” Burnes says.
The business will announce its half-yearly results tomorrow.
