Rugby Australia is celebrating the upcoming three-game Wallabies E Toro series against France in a new campaign from BWM Isoabr.
The campaign aims to draw attention back to the live game experience, showcasing the renown flare of the French, taking on a fierce, new Wallabies squad.
Working with Rugby Australia for the first time, BWM Isobar have been tasked to help rejuvenate passion for the sport and the excitement that only comes from being at the game.
Adapting past game footage, the tongue-in-cheek campaign drives home a message that this will be a series not to be missed as ‘sophistication meets its match’.
The work will run across TV, outdoor, social and radio.
“The Wallabies have a long history of fierce competition against the French who first toured Australia in 1961," says Anthony French, director - commercial, Rugby World Cup bid and external relations at Rugby Australia.
"The friendly rivalry between the two nations has been captured perfectly by BWM Isobar in this campaign, which sums up the competition on field, whilst highlighting the fierce passion of both Wallabies and French fans.
"We look forward to giving our fans a great night of entertainment both on and off the field.”
Following the French series, new work will also appear for the upcoming Rugby Championship featuring South Africa and Argentina, along with the Bledisloe Cup where the Australians take on long standing New Zealand rivals, The All Blacks.
The first French test kicks off tonight, Wednesday 7 July at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, followed by AAMI Park in Melbourne on July 13, then wrapping up the series back in Brisbane on July 17.
