Health insurance and care company Bupa has promoted Jane Power to director of marketing for Australia and New Zealand, succeeding John Moore who will take up a global customer service leadership position in January.
The appointment comes a day after Bupa revealed Mindshare and AJF Partnership won a pitch to be dual lead agencies.
Power is the director of brand and health & care marketing and played a pivotal role repositioning Bupa from an insurer to a broader health and care company.
She has been Bupa’s key global brand lead, helping the company build its brand presence across all of its markets, a role she will continue when she joins the Bupa A&NZ executive team from 1 January 2017.
“Jane brings to the role a great depth of marketing and commercial experience at MLC, Suncorp and Asteron, prior to joining Bupa in 2013,” Bupa people director Naomi Attwood said.
“More recently, Jane has passionately led our Brand strategy for the past two years, bringing the Bupa brand in our Australian and more recently New Zealand markets to life in a new way.”
Power said: “As a marketing group we have worked very hard over the last few years to reposition Bupa as a broad health and care company. We know those efforts are making a real difference to the way our customers feel about the brand as a whole.”
Power will report to new managing director Richard Bowden, who also starts in January.
