Bronwyn van der Merwe has returned to Accenture Song, working across the Australia and New Zealand business, with a remit to help drive purpose-driven growth for clients across its product innovation, marketing, commerce, and customer sales and service offerings.
With more than 20 year’s worth of experience in the design and innovation space, van der Merwe was most recently VP of design at Culture Amp.
Previously, she was the general manager of Fjord. In this role, she established Fjord in Australia and went on to build and lead a team of 350, launching studios across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan.
She then became the design lead for Accenture Interactive, now Song, in the Asia Pacific region
van der Merwe said the team at Accenture Song are an incredible group of individuals and when they combine their capabilities with their clients, they can make exceptional things happen.
"We help our clients find new sources of growth, transform their organisations and deliver experiences that people love," she said.
“There’s a revolution happening in customer and employee expectations. As organisations try to respond to this rapid change we need to employ the very best in technology, design, data and analytics, and human insight.
"There are so many opportunities and innovations in technology, generative AI currently being the most talked about, that we need to understand and deploy responsibly. It’s an exciting space and I’m looking forward to working with the Accenture business and our clients to bring to life bold, value-creating experiences.”
Mark Green, president of Accenture Song ANZ, said van der Merwe's expansive experience with design-led strategy and digital transformation, coupled with her passion for innovation and championing culture, makes her a standout leader.
"Having spent close to a decade with Song also means she can hit the ground running due to her strong relationships both within the business and with our clients," said Green.
