Independent Australian publisher Broadsheet Media has bolstered its sales and partnerships team with two senior promotions following a stream of new client wins.
Sian Whitaker, Broadsheet general manager, said: "Supporting female talent is central to our values and culture, I'm proud to lead a senior leadership team that is 70% female. By adopting a flexible and collaborative approach linked to business objectives, we have retained two high performers with senior leadership roles".
Christina Voss returns to Broadsheet after maternity leave to a newly created role as strategy and solutions director, which will be part of Whitaker's commercial team.
Voss will oversee creative responses, working closely with internal departments and the senior leadership team to develop new commercial opportunities and lead the strategic direction. Including new content verticals, off-platform events/activations and new strategic partnerships with other media owners.
Voss said: "I am thrilled to be returning to Broadsheet in this new role and to be given the opportunity to lead a team and area of the business that I have always been passionate about."
Michila Macleod has been appointed the national sales and partnerships director, a role she filled while Voss was on maternity leave.
Prior to Broadsheet, Macleod was the head of digital - Vic, at Bauer Media. During the last 12 months, Broadsheet has grown the sales and partnerships team by 66% with a string of new hires.
Macleod said: "The collective passion we share for the brand and our audience is core to our continued commercial success. It's been such a privilege to lead this high-performing team for the past 12 months, and I look forward to continuing our growth journey together."
These latest promotions come after a significant growth period for the independent publisher and the launch of the membership program Broadsheet Access, Broadsheet Wine, and Broadsheet Cookbooks.
