Bringing Sexy Back improves its appeal

Seven's new feel-good reality show, Bringing Sexy Back, scraped into the free-to-air top 10 last night, lifting on its debut last week.

The show, starring Sunrise's Samantha Armytage, won 734,000 viewers last night, compared to 654,000 last week.

It went head-to-head in the tough 7.30pm timeslot against Nine's The Block Glasshouse – which won the night again, with an audience of 1.192 million.

The reno show set Nine Network up to win the night overall, taking 32.1% of the audience share across Australia's five metro areas. Seven followed with 29.4%, then Ten with 16.8% and the ABC with 15.5%.

Seven's Home and Away and Winners & Losers were the only other top 10 non-news programs, in seventh and eighth spots with audiences of 922,000 and 782,000 respectively, according to preliminary overnight ratings figures from OzTam.

Nine News won the largest news audience, as the second most-watched program with 1.136 million viewers.

Completing the top 10 was Nine News at 6.30, third with 1.090 million viewers, Seven News, fourth with 1.061 million, Nine's A Current Affair, fifth with 1.046 million, Seven's Today Tonight, sixth with 1.035 million, and ABC News, ninth with 741,000.
