Bauer Media's New Zealand managing director Brendon Hill is taking over as CEO from Paul Dykzeul.
Dykzeul, who has been with Bauer for more than 25 years and has been CEO for two, is retiring.
“I’ve had an extraordinary time at Bauer over the last decade,” Dykzeul says.
“When I was appointed CEO, I made it clear that part of my strategy was to find my successor.
“I’ve experienced first hand Brendon’s strong entrepreneurial skills, as well as his enthusiasm and vision. The Australian Executive team is young, talented and vibrant, and under Brendon’s leadership, I expect to see great things."
Dykzeul has overseen the closure and sell-off of titles such as Cosmopolitan and Money magazine. He has also pushed into digital with the announcement of a new millennial-focused digital publication.
Stepping into Dykzeual’s role from 1 June is Hill who has been with Bauer since joining the Australian arm in 2006.
Hill moved to New Zealand in 2017, overseeing its management and performance as MD.
“I will remain focussed on growing these audiences and creating unique opportunities for advertisers to engage with them,” Dykzeul says.
“Our people are the heart of our business and I am excited about returning to Australia and leading through the next stage of Bauer’s growth.”
