Blue 449 restructures strategy team; hires talent from UM and Iris

Blue 449 has restructured its strategy team with promotions and new hires including the return of Max Broer from UM as strategy director.

Iris Sydney planner Julian Frundt also joins as senior strategist, Josef Charlesworth has been promoted from performance director to business strategist and Elliott Eldridge has moved from client manager to a senior strategist role.

The restructure is designed to provide clients with “strategic specialists” in technology, data and creativity that can help them grow.

“I am excited to announce the new Blue 449 strategy team which has been designed specifically to help answer our clients’ varied business problems which now range from which MarTech they should consider through to how to embrace new technology such as AI or VR as part of the marketing approach,” Blue 449 head of strategy and planning Zara Cobb says.

“Joe and Elliott have two unique skill sets that add a depth of thinking I know our clients will find useful.”
Broer is a multiple Cannes Young Lion finalist who has been involved in promoting the industry though his time as co-chairman of the NGEN committee and as an advertising lecturer at UTS.

Blue 449 said he brings a keen understanding of how to use data to drive business results while Frundt's experience ties marketing effectiveness to the power of creativity in the sales process. He has experience in social, influencer, PR, digital and traditional ATL campaigns.

Charlesworth will focus more on how to get the most out of martech while Eldridge has experience in media optimisation, beta testing and brining to clients new market new opportunities.
