Brand activation agency Because ANZ has appointed Chloe Woodhouse to the newly created role of director of growth.

She joins with more than 14 year's experience from the UK where she most recently was client development manager at experiential and creative agency Smyle.

Woodhouse has previously worked at Event Concept in London and Encore in Australia.

Because ANZ's co-founder and managing director Meredith Cranmer said Woodhouse's
appointment as “pivotal”, as brands across Australasia seek to connect with consumers in more impactful ways.

“Her proven track record in driving business growth through strategic sales and marketing initiatives and strong client relationships makes her the perfect fit to lead our business development and ensure we continue to deliver exceptional results for clients,” she said.

Because creates activations with well-known and such as Woolworths, Sydney Water, Kraft Heinz, and AGL to build relationships between brands and consumers.

Investment in events is on the rise, with the most recent Q3 IPA Bellwether Report, which surveys 300 UK companies on trends in marketing spending, revealing that events ranked second as the best-performing mode of marketing from a budgeting perspective.

Woodhouse joins Because ANZ to capitalise on the growing demand for brands to harness activations and foster stronger relationships with consumers to drive consideration, loyalty and sales both in the short and long term.

Woodhouse said she is thrilled to be joining the team.

“This is an exciting time for brands in Australia and New Zealand as they seek to forge deeper and stronger connections with consumers,” she said.

“These brands want to invest with an experienced agency partner, such as Because, which effectively leverages experiential, social and digital to ignite growth.”
