Barbara Humphries promoted to executive creative director at The Monkeys

The Monkeys, part of Accenture Interactive, has promoted Barbara Humphries to executive creative director Sydney, effective immediately.

Humphries, previously creative director, has created award winning campaigns for brands including IKEA, Coca-Cola, Nike, UN Women Australia, Nestle, Qantas, Berlei, NRMA Insurance and MLA.

Humphries: “To have the opportunity to continue to work with people I love, creating meaningful and memorable work for some of Australia’s leading brands, alongside some of the most talented, smart and humble leaders in the industry, is a real privilege."

At The Monkeys, Humphries has helped the agency to secure multiple Advertising Agency of the Year titles, more recently B&T’s Agency of the Decade and Effective Agency of the Year at the 2021 Effie Awards.

Her work has received global recognition at award shows including D&AD, Cannes, Clio Awards, One Show, Webby Awards, New York Festivals, AWARD Awards and The Effies.

The Monkeys co-founder and group CEO Scott Nowell: “Barb is a wonderful person and an irresistible creative force. She’s already had a huge part in shaping the output of The Monkeys and will be an even bigger part of it in the future. This is a proud moment for her and for us.”

Prior to The Monkeys, Humphries has worked at Wieden+Kennedy London and Publicis Mojo Melbourne.
