Atomic 212 is the fastest-growing media company in the country. The agency was named on the BRW fastest-growing 100 list alongside eight other media and marketing companies that made the cut.

Atmoic 212 came in at number 28 in the list after growing by 85% in the 2014 financial year, with turnover of $13.5 million.

It's moved up from number 95 last year and CEO Jason Dooris said its performance-based model was paying dividends.

"Our performance incentive structure is proving to be very effective for us at the moment. It's making us chase results that little bit harder," he told AdNews.

"It's also making us get better at our client offerings across multiple channels like content marketing, data-modelling... really pushing the fact we're full-service."

Dooris also took a cheeky swipe at larger competitors in the space.

"As an independent business that is not required to push annual profit up the line to Singapore or St Leonards we have the opportunity to reinvest in in the business which we do," he said.

He also said Atomic specialised in attracting mid-sized clients which may fall through the cracks at other, larger media companies.

Dooris reiterated that he was uncomfortable with the programmatic space, many larger agencies are moving into, citing the effects of bots and ad fraud on the space.

"I also have concern about the regulation of the space. The fact that most of the regulation is being done by the industry itself... it's really not condusive to building trust with our clients," Dooris said.

Also on the list:

Cohort Digital
Web Marketing Experts
Alyka
DE Advertising
Pedestrian.tv
Marlin Communications
Momentum Media
