Industry association for the independent media agency industry Independent Media Agencies of Australia (IMAA) has announced the winners of its second annual IMAA Awards for Media Partners.
The awards, held at Sydney’s Mary’s Underground on Wednesday night, recognise the important role media companies nationwide play in supporting the IMAA and its member agencies.
More than 250 independent media agency leaders and media partners attended this week’s event, watching on as the IMAA Leadership Team and Board of Directors presented the coveted awards.
This year, leading Australian broadcaster ARN was named the overall IMAA Media Partner of the Year.
The audio company also took out the award in the Ideas and Proactivity category.

IMAA CEO Sam Buchanan said it’s not often that media organisations are recognised for their contribution.
"Since the IMAA’s inception, our media partners have been incredibly valuable supporters of our mission to celebrate and advocate for indies nationally – so it’s a privilege to get the opportunity to recognise them and the valuable role they play for our members and the industry as a whole," Buchanan said.
“We now have 45 media partners at the IMAA and all contribute significantly to supporting, educating and providing services to our indie agency members. We’re looking forward to another big year of partnerships in 2025.”
ARN national sales director Nick Flood said ARN is honoured to be named this year’s IMAA Media Partner of the Year.
"As a network, we’ve long valued our relationship with the independent media agency sector and the incredible creativity, innovation and client service that indie agencies are delivering," Flood said.
"Over the past 12 months, the national indie sector has continued to prove its value for its clients, and the IMAA has been an essential part of that – we look forward to continuing our partnership with the indies in 2025.”
