ARN is expanding its KIIS Breast Check Day campaign to include more than 20 regional stations across Australia.
Originally launched by the KIIS Network in August, the campaign reminds listeners to conduct self-checks with the tagline, “Have you felt yours lately?”.
While the message continues across KIIS metro stations – KIIS 1065 Sydney, KIIS 101.1 Melbourne, KIIS 97.3 Brisbane, and Mix 102.3 Adelaide – October marks a focused effort to spread this reminder to regional areas in line with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
In line with the KIIS Network campaign, listeners tuning in to ARN’s regional stations will hear on-air reminders to check their breasts, along with survivor stories and expert insights to promote breast health awareness throughout October.
Regional stations will also engage with audiences on social media, sharing educational content, interactive infographics and visuals to encourage action and spread awareness.
ARN chief content officer, Duncan Campbell, said the success of this campaign across metro stations has been overwhelming, with an incredible response from listeners who have embraced the reminder to make self-checks part of their routine.
"It’s vital that everyone, no matter where they are, is reminded of the importance of regular breast health checks," he said.
"This campaign is designed to help make self-checks a routine practice, and we’re committed to amplifying this message across our regional network.”
