Australian Radio Network (ARN) has appointed two marketers to newly created roles, as the company continues its restructure.

Chris Phillips, who has worked previously as APN development executive and Nine Network program development manager, has been appointed as marketing executive for Sydney and Brisbane.

Meanwhile, News Limited marketing manager Donna Gordon has been appointed as ARN marketing manager in the Melbourne and Adelaide markets.

ARN national marketing director Jodie Koning said: "We are committed to increasing our PR and local marketing focus nationally and believe they will be a fantastic team."

Both Phillips and Gordon answer directly to Koning.

The appointments come as ARN continues to overhaul its brand image. The company, which is 50% owned by APN NEws & Media, has recently seen a management restructure, with the introduction of CEO Ciaran Davis, as well as Koning, who was formerly a marketing manager at Diageo.

Under Koning, the company has stepped up its marketing activity, unveiling a new brand positioning and logo, as well as appointing creative agency Iris to handle brand work and bringing in MediaCom as its new media agency.
