Allianz has confirmed that another top marketer, John Myler, has left the business.

Myler had been in the chief market manager role looking after corporate strategy, marketing, e-commerce and digital, for 13 months, but within Allianz for more than 10 years.

His exit follows news Allianz group marketing manager and brand Dominic Brandon left the insurance company towards the end of 2016, recently taking up a position at PayPal.

Brandon has been replaced by Sascha Hunt, who was appointed to the role of general manager marketing and brand in 2016.

Allianz tells AdNews another senior executive is acting in the role of chief market manager while Myler's replacement is being recruited, but didn't name who.

Myler officially left in December of last year.

The departures mean a big restructure for Allianz's marketing department, which is also likely to be impacted by the company's decision to move its creative from MercerBell to Cummins&Partners Sydney.

MercerBell held the creative for seven years, declining to pitch for the account after it signalled plans to move to a project-based, rostered approach.

Cummins&Partners Sydney released new work for Allianz in December 2016, ditching the famous "Ahh...llianz" tagline for a more inspirational approach.
