Insurance giant Allianz, part of the worldwide Allianz Group, has put its media agency account out to pitch, according to industry insiders.
Sources say Wavemaker, Carat, Hearts and Science, are in the final round.
Publicis Groupe's Spark Foundry is the incumbent in Australia.
The global pitch is reportedly restricted to those with global master service agreements in place
An Allianz spokesperson wouldn't give details on the account, said to be around $20 million locally.
"Allianz Australia works with a number of agencies and is not in a position to comment on a pitch process at this time," the general insurer said.
According to Nielsen, insurance is a top 20 industry for advertising spend at $218 million a year.
The insurer appointed in 2021 the then new independent agency Howatson+White as its creative agency of record.
Allianz in March launched a new brand campaign, Ready, created by Howatson+Company. The new brand platform encourages Australians to live confidently, knowing that Allianz is ready to support them with whatever life has to offer.
