Insurance company Allianz has appointed new independent agency Howatson+White as its agency of record.
TBWA Sydney previously worked on creative projects for the insurance company, while its sister agency Eleven handled PR. Allianz also worked with a number of other smaller agencies on a project basis.
AdNews understands that Allianz has now consolidated most of its work with Howatson+White.
The agency has a remit which spans creative, retail, social, CRM and PR. Eleven will also continue to work across PR for the insurer as part of its agency roster.
Media will remain with Publicis Groupe's Spark Foundry.
"The trust and partnership we already have with Allianz is a reflection of their wonderful culture – people orientated, but ambitious for the work," Howatson+White CEO Chris Howatson tells AdNews.
"Ant and I are humbled to have been welcomed into their business, and are truly grateful. We’ve started fast and look forward to helping them grow."
Allianz said in a statement the business will continue to work with a number of agencies.
"Allianz works with a number of agencies at any one time, currently that includes with Howatson + White. We are are looking forward to bringing new creative campaigns to the market in the coming months," an Allianz Australia spokesperson tells AdNews.
Howatson+White, founded by former CHE Proximity CEO Chris Howatson and chief creative officer Ant White, officially opened its doors last week.
The duo's departure from CHE Proximity was announced last year alongside their plans to open their own independent agency.
Justin Hind has since been named CEO and Gavin McLeod named chief creative officer at CHE Proximity.
