Alison Cameron has taken the helm of family-owned regional radio broadcaster Grant Broadcasters in an executive reshuffle.
Cameron, previously chief operating officer, takes over from Grant Cameron, who becomes a non-executive chairman - while Janet Cameron, the long-standing previous chair, will continue to remain a board member.
Dugald Cameron will continue to manage the family’s investment portfolio as an executive member of the board, while the hunt is on for a new chief operating officer.
“It has been a privilege to lead Grant Broadcasters and play a part in growing the company into one of Australia’s largest independent media owners with over 50 radio stations across Regional Australia,” Grant Cameron recently said.
“The time is now right for us to look to the future to ensure we continue delivering great local content and evolving successful commercial solutions for our clients.”
Grant Broadcasters is an independent media company that owns 51 regional radio stations, including the Kix network of stations, and a sales company that represents a further 70 stations. Its strongest footprints are in regional NSW along the south coast and Queensland, and it also has radio interests in all other states and territories.
