The Works have taken out the accolade for the Best Agency Designed AdNews Cover of 2015 for its Data is Human cover.

The image, created for the 7 August issue of AdNews, won with a whopping 48% of the votes.

To create the winning image, The Works took an actual sample of DNA from its data boss Carl Oldham, and used his unique genetic make-up to create a visual representation of his DNA sequence. Nothing like putting your all into a project.

Coming in just behind was Soap Creative with Code Monkey, which took 41% of the vote for its cover for our feature on coding, showing that while code monkey used to be an insult – it's far from that now.

In third place was Archibald/Williams for Tug-O-War for its gruesome depiction of the consumer’s ear being pulled in many directions for our feature on social influencers.

There were 1400 votes in the online poll.

Thanks to all the agencies that dealt with our vague briefs and short turnaround times this year. Same again next year? Get in touch with editor Rosiebaker@yaffa.com.au if your agency will step up to the plate in 2016.

We announced the winner in The Annual. Check it out in print, or get it on the iPad to get access to all the other premium content that appeared, including the photo Essay, Mock briefs and Top Tens.
