APN News and Media owned Adshel has internally promoted Charlotte Valente as its head of marketing.

Valentes was previously head of strategic integration and has more than 20 years' experience in Australia, the UK, France and Switzerland across marketing and sales. In her new marketing remit she will be responsible for leading the strategic directer of all marketing activities including brand, product and research, as well as client strategy and communication.

Prior to joining Adshel, Valente was client business director at Creative Activation and national brands solutions manager at AMP Capital. She has also held roles at Pacific Magazines, The Guardian Media Group and BBC Worldwide.

Adshel has also promoted Sarah Hughes as product marketing manager, from a previous role at the company as product marketing executive. Hughes has more than 10 years of experience in marketing roles across APN Outdoor and Clear Channel.

The company also plans to appoint two further manager positions in trade marketing and strategy in the coming weeks.

Adshel chief revenue officer David Roddick said: “Charlotte and Sarah have made a huge contribution to Adshel by bring insight and research into the centre of our sales proposition.

“We already hold a reputation for delivering thought leadership to the market and these appointments are sure to see that intensify. Their appointments are part of Adshel's ongoing commitment to keep the customer and the audience at the core of their product offering to clients.”

The appointments follow former Adshel chief marketing officer Nicole McInnes leaving the company in November last year for a role at Pandora Internet Radio.
