AdNews journalist arrested in 'death of advertising' sting

Surry Hills Police have raided the offices of AdNews publisher Yaffa Media and apprehended a male in relation to the sudden death of advertising.

The 37-year-old has been charged with two counts of reporting about the "death of advertising" amid an ACCC inquiry into WTF Australia should do about its media industry.

The Castle Hill resident fronted the UnLtd local district court yesterday and was sentenced to prison in early May indefinitely until a bail of $1,000 can be raised.

Proceeds of the bail will go towards Whitelion, a not-for-profit who support at-risk and disadvantaged youth in the community.

The annual Bail Out sees inmates stripped of possessions and given prison uniforms, fed prison gruel, be subject to a court hearing and sentenced to time inside the cells.

The AdNews reporter will have to spend at least a night in prison with ad-funded media owners keen to correct the record.

AdNews is calling on members of public with any knowledge about the media and advertising and stuff to donate some money to help its news editor escape jail. You can donate by visiting the link below

Remember, all funds raised go to Whitelion to help continue their work in changing young peoples’ lives.
