At AANA 2022 RESET Live, Julie Stefanja, co-founder of cult activewear destination Stylerunner, looks to rebrand her co-founded app Her Black Book to be more gender-inclusive.

Stefanja said: “It is really tricky getting a brand name these days, everything is trademarked etc. But to be honest, one of the things that we're planning to do soon is looking at a rebrand.”

Initially launched in 2021, Her Black Book is a curated shopping and discovery app that's "designed for the savvy women who love to shop".

Stefanja said: “When we first started this business, the concept was about connecting women who love to shop with retail incentives. It was a community that we knew well and could market well to.”

But as the app community continues to expand, Stefanja said the brand name “definitely does not need to be gendered.

“So, all of the brand awareness that we are currently building and will build over the next six months before we get around to that rebrand will need to transfer which is just another fun thing to add.”
