9News has announced a paid TV news internship at its Sydney headquarters.

The three-month program is designed to discover the next generation of television journalists and producers, covering news-gathering, writing, editing and production.

The program is across all 9News bulletins, including news on Today.

Simon Hobbs, Nine’s news director for Sydney, said: "This is a golden opportunity to work in the biggest newsroom in the southern hemisphere, with hands-on learning from the best in the business.

“The successful candidate will have potential for long-term employment with Nine."

Applications close October 1 and can be submitted here.
