360info has announced a distribution partnership with Australian Associated Press (AAP), helping to deliver research-driven news features to over 400 newsrooms across the Asia-Pacific.

Operating as an independent wire service or 'research Reuters', 360info provides news features written by researchers, edited by journalists and then made freely available to publishers and broadcasters worldwide.

All content is made available at no cost - as a public-good service - to help newsrooms facing the twin pressures of ever decreasing budgets and competition from poor quality information providers.

360info's founder and editor-in-chief, Andrew Jaspan, said he hopes “360info will become an indispensable newsroom resource, offering free content, ideas and talent for newsrooms and publishers".

AAP's CEO, Lisa Davies, said the newswire was "looking forward to shortly providing 360info content for our Australian subscribers".

360info launched its first hub servicing the Asia Pacific region in November 2021, supplying content to more than 1,200 outlets with a potential reach of 45 million readers per month. Expansion into Europe, Africa & the US is planned.
