The 2024 season of the WBBL has become the most watched across Foxtel Group platforms Foxtel, Kayo Sports, Foxtel Now, Foxtel Go and BINGE, up 41% year-on-year and driven by record streaming audiences.

It is the fourth consecutive year of growth, with 132 million minutes in total streamed across the platform.

The Finals clash between the Melbourne Renegades and Brisbane Heat is in Foxtel Group’s top five of the most watched WBBL matches of all-time.

The most watched match in the regular season to-date was the WBBL|09 Finals rematch between Heat vs Strikers (Game 20), with the most watched teams being the Strikers, Renegades and Scorchers.

Foxtel Group's executive director of commercial sport, Rebecca McCloy said as the company has grown its coverage of the WBBL, it is fantastic to see viewing and engagement grow too.

"We have and will continue to champion women’s sport, providing premium platforms to showcase the talent and competitions," she said.

"The WBBL’s introduction on BINGE further extends its reach and we’re thrilled the Final, and this season, has been received so positively.”

“This year’s record audiences exemplify our broadcast partners’ commitment to the women’s game, producing world class content in prime time, featuring the best players in the best venues," he said.
