Topless twins and a technical glitch weren’t the only thing causing a stir at the 30th ARIA Awards.
When Missy Higgins took the stage at the awards, celebrating the best of Australian music, she took the opportunity to take a swipe at Telstra’s flailing service. Telstra was presenting partner of the ARIAs.
With the ARIAs trending wide on Twitter, the Twitterati were quick to pick up on the Telstra dig:

Higgins asked Telstra to answer her calls, acknowledging the recent Telstra outages.
The ARIAs attracted an audience of 586,000 viewers on Ten, up 31% on the 2015 awards. It was the third most watched entertainment program of the evening, behind First Dates (663,000) and Home and Away (673,000).
First Dates was the top program in all key advertising categories, followed by the ARIA Awards.
