PR queen Roxy Jacenko has borrowed a marketing stunt from Kim Kardashian for the launch of her latest venture, Roxy Tan, for tanning brand and Sweaty Betty client, Skinny Tan.
To guarantee buzz around the launch, Jacenko took to social media to expose her famous feuds.
As Kim Kardashian did for the release of her perfume earlier this year, Jacenko penned a list of her own ‘haters’ and posted a video to Instagram.
Her ‘haters’, as well her famous friends, like Jackie O and Imogen Anthony, received the Skinny Tan product encased in a smash cake.
Jacenko received some backlash on her Instagram post for “stealing” Kim Kardashian’s idea, but noted the backlash only generates more engagement for the brand.
Jacenko wrote on Instagram: “298 comments and counting and you’ve played right into my hands”, in response to one person who criticised the stunt.
No stranger to causing a social media stir, Jacenko’s high-profile is being leveraged by Skinny Tan, also hosting a lunch in Sydney yesterday that featured across her Instagram account yesterday.
Jacenko is also a brand ambassador for Stan, Toni & Guy, Enjo and Birkenhead Point.
