The global index for creative excellence in advertising, The Gunn Report, has released its 2016 findings, placing Leo Burnett Australia in the top 10 most awarded agencies.
The report looks at the overall performance of the world of advertising in the year January to December 2016 and is based on the results of 45 global, regional and national creative award contests.
Australia was ranked third in the country while New Zealand ranked sixth place – its highest ranking to date.
New Zealand was only 16 points behind Australia in the most awarded countries in the world category. Two New Zealand agencies, Colenso BBDO and Y&R New Zealand, placed in the top three most awarded agencies ahead of any Australian businesses.
Leo Burnett Australia has ranked in the top 10 globally for the past three years and has been the number one agency in Australia for the past two.
“It’s very humbling to be recognised as the only Australian creative agency to rank in the top 10 in the world. Our ambition is big and bold, to be the most innovative creative solutions company in the world and over the past three years, we’ve made the top 10 – an incredible accomplishment that I’m extremely proud of," Leo Burnett CEO Pete Bosilkovski says.
"To achieve this level of consistency is testament to our unrelenting passion and dedication to creativity and innovation."
