The Water Corporation is urging people to be water wise in its new campaign.
The ad for the Water Corporation, the principal supplier of water in Western Australia, was created by The Brand Agency and features wildlife vigilantes teaching humans better water-use behaviour.
It features the Carnaby Cockatoo, the burrowing Bilby, the famous Rotto Quokka and the age-old Marri Tree as the 'Water Watchers'.
Water Corporation general manager of customer and community Catherine Ferrari says the campaign was needed because of the high level of water waste in the state.
“Our climate has changed and we need to ensure Perth residents are making water wise behaviours the norm,” Ferrari says.
The Brand Agency executive creative director Marcus Tesorierio says the campaign is particularly necessary in Perth.
“But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a bit of fun to draw in people’s attention. It makes sense that nature has a voice on the topic, so our intention was to give it one – and help us humans understand that wasting water affects us all,” Tesorierio says.
