'Understanding is surviving' this bushfire season

Summer is fast approaching, bringing with it ice cream, beach days and -more often than not- the threat of bushfire.

The Queensland Government have launched a new campaign following the premise “understanding is surviving,” by encouraging people living in high-risk areas of the state to plan and prepare for bushfires.

Created by MediaCom’s specialist division, MediaCom Beyond Advertising (MBA), the campaign defines the three levels of bushfire warning: advice, watch and act and emergency warning.

To send the message out effectively, campaign identified 100,000 properties at very high or high risk of bushfires. MBA then created and placed targeted information on what those who could be affected need to do if they receive a warning.
